Credit
Our terms are strictly net fifteen (15) days from the date of invoice.
Conditions of carriage
Please refer to the reverse of our air waybill.
Collections on behalf
We offer this service to AKL, BNE, PER, MEL, and SYD only.
Our charge is 7.5% of the amount invoiced to us to be collected
or $10.00 minimum.
This service operates in the following manner:
- An invoice must be raised to G.C.I. debiting us with amount
you wish to be collected.
- The collect amount must match the charges as they appear on
your HAWB.
- Collect funds are remitted back to you in approximately 30 days,
provided the prepaid air freight charges are paid in full.
For other destinations, you can deal, with confidence, directly
with our agents. Each agent has been carefully hand picked by
us, for their quality of service and high integrity. We
would be happy to introduce you to our overseas strategic partners.
- Reweighing & redimming of freight
All shipments tendered are check weighed and dimmed. Please indicate
your dimensions or volume weight on your paperwork, otherwise,
our dimensions will be final. This will eliminate any accounting
problems that may arise. We appreciate your cooperation.
- Scheduling
GCI strives to provide consistent, quality service. Our schedules
are updated monthly on this Web Site to keep the ``information
flow" and our operations running smoothly. Please take a
few minutes to familiarize yourself with any information we may
have added, such as changes in rates, lock outs, or flights. We
cannot be responsible for incorrect information quoted to your
customers based on previous schedules.
- Claims
As a result of a number of claims against us last year, we are
compelled to issue the following statement:
"WE WILL NOT RECOGNIZE ANY VALUE CLAIM UNLESS ACCOMPANIED
BY A SURVEY REPORT FROM AN APPROVED MARINE INSURANCE ASSESSOR."
We all know in the world of international freight, there are shippers
/ consignees, admittedly small in numbers, but still serious thorns
in the sides of honest forwarders and agents, who take unalloyed
delight in unfortunate situations. If these people are really
serious about our business, they must realize that full, all-risks
insurance is a prerequisite to conducting an international transportation
operation. IF they prefer to underwrite the risk themselves without
the services of an insurance company, then they must ultimately
accept full responsibility in the case of their shipments arriving
in less than perfect condition.
